It’s been nearly two decades since we first embarked on our Pokémon journey together in TPERPG (The Pokémon Elemental Role-Playing Game).
Back in 2008, I was just a 10-year-old kid, a Pokémon fanboy, building a dream. From the moment I launched TPERPG until it was turned off in 2010, it was more than just a game—it was a home for over 4,000 players who shared a passion for Pokémon.
I still remember racing home from 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, eager to moderate, develop, and improve the game. It was a place where friendships were made, battles were fought, and adventures were endless.
Sadly, in 2010, personal circumstances forced me to make the hardest decision of my childhood—to shut down TPERPG. It was never what I wanted, but at the time, it was unavoidable.
Before shutting down the game, I made one final backup—a digital time capsule, waiting to be opened. For years, it sat on an old hard drive from 2005 in my childhood home, untouched.
But time wasn’t kind—the hard drive failed, leaving the data seemingly lost forever.
Yet, through determination and the help of world-class data recovery experts, the impossible happened:
The entire TPERPG backup from December 11, 2010, was restored.
For nearly 15 years, TPERPG has been asleep, waiting for its trainers to return. Now, with the original game files recovered, I want to rebuild it from the ground up—but I can’t do it alone.
The old PHP4 code is outdated and vulnerable—it needs a complete overhaul for security and stability.
Hosting the game in 2008 cost $89 per year—today, modern cloud hosting costs are significantly higher.
To bring TPERPG back, we need funding for:
If TPERPG was ever a part of your childhood—if it brought you joy, friendships, and unforgettable adventures—please consider donating to help bring it back.
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to logging in again, training Pokémon, and reliving those childhood memories.
With all my heart,
